But when it comes to Microsoft’s Surface Pro and other Windows 8 tablets, the CEO of Wave Systems, Steven Sprague, says an old laptop technology, the Trusted Platform Module (TPM), should help anyone in IT or the C suite concerned about tablet security sleep better at night. Wave Systems makes software that manages the TPM chips, which have been installed in enterprise laptops since 2006 and that are included in Windows 8 tablets.
