9.2 Uninstalling TPM Drivers
There are two different methods to uninstall the TPM software drivers; you may choose the method that you are more comfortable with. Remember that you must be logged on as an administrator or a member of the Administrators group to complete this procedure.
Method 1:
- Go to Start -> Control Panel -> Add or Remove Programs, and scroll thru the list and select the TPM SW Drivers, and click on then click on the Change/Remove button.
- Follow the driver's uninstalling instructions.
Method 2:
- Go to Start -> Control Panel and double-click Systems.
- Select the Hardware tap, and click on the Device Manager button, this will start the Device Manager shown in Figure 9.10
- Under the System devices tree search for the TPM device, see Figure 9.11, select the TPM device and right-click, then select Uninstall and follow the instructions provided by the driver's uninstaller.
