9.6 Installing Digital Certificates
Steps for installing a digital certificate:
- Type http://< CA host>/certsrv into the Address field of Microsoft Internet Explorer and press Enter.
- The Microsoft Certificate Services Welcome page will appear (see Figure 9.23). Select Request a certificate, this will open the Choose Request Type page shown in Figure 9.24.

- Now you choose the type of certification request you are making, select Advanced Certificate Request, this will open The Advanced Certificate Requests shown in Figure 9.25.
- Select Create and Submit a request to this CA, this will open Advanced Certificate Request Form shown in Figure 9.26.

- You will fill the Advanced Certificate Request form page will appear.
Select the following items from the drop-down menus:
- Certificate Template: Enrollment Agent.
- Friendly Name: Enrollment Agent
- Leave the rest alone.
Then press Submit.

Note: To verify that the certificate got installed you may go to the Internet Explorer - Tools - Internet Options - Content - Certificates
