5.2.2 Login Tab

    The Startup tab allows users to customize the actions Private Information Manager performs when it starts up.

    To access Login:

  1. Right click on the System Tray icon and select Settings from the menu (see Figure 5.15).
  2. Select the Login tab as shown in Figure 5.17.

Web Site Login Options

The Web Site Login Options allow users to configure the way that PIM automatically fills in the username and password associated with Website URLs that are saved in Favorites.

  • Always Login - PIM will automatically fill login fields and submit the login automatically.
  • Prompt Before Login - Before filling username and password fields, PIM will prompt for confirmation. Use this option to selectively control when usernames and passwords are filled by PIM.
  • Never Login - PIM will never automatically fill login fields.

Application Login Options

The Application Login Options allow users to configure the way that Private Information Manager automatically fills in the username and password applications (computer programs) running on the user's PC.

  • Always Login - PIM will automatically fill login fields and submit the login automatically.
  • Prompt Before Login - Before filling username and password fields, PIM will prompt for confirmation. Use this option to selectively control when usernames and passwords are filled by PIM.
  • Never Login - PIM will never automatically fill login fields.

Select Automatic Capture Functionality

Select Automatic Capture Functionality allows users to configure whether or not Private Information Manager will automatically remember usernames and passwords for programs and web pages that require login.

  • On - PIM will prompt to remember the usernames and passwords entered for the current program or website. When program or web site is accessed, PIM will automatically enter the username and password.
  • Off - PIM will not prompt to remember usernames and passwords entered for programs and web sites.
