3.2.1 Steps the EMBASSY Security Setup Wizard take to assist you in configuring your system
  1. After the Embassy Trust Suite software has been installed, the EMBASSY Security Setup Wizard will automatically start the first time a user logs into the computer (see Figure 3.7). This will guide the user through setup and configuration of his or her Trusted Platform Module. The first screen will tell the user what the setup process entail. Press Next to continue.

  2. The first step of the wizard guides you through enabling Preboot Authentication and Secure Windows Login (see Figure 3.8). Check the box next to Enable Preboot / Secure Windows Login (see Figure 3.9). Press Next to continue. In order for this to take effect, you must restart your system (see Figure 3.10). Press Ok to continue with the wizard.

  3. The Dell Preboot Manage Enrollment Wizard will now start and prompt the user to create a BIOS System password (see Figure 3.11). Enter the BIOS System password and press Next to continue (see Figure 3.12).

  5. Once the BIOS System password has been set,you will be prompted to select a user to be enrolled for Preboot Authentication (see Figure 3.13). Note that in ETS 5.3 and newer versions, the user to be enrolled defaults to the current user. To choose a different user, click Select. Once you have chosen the user to be enrolled, press Next to continue.

  7. Now you will see information on how to best swipe your fingerprints when enrolling (see Figure 3.14). You can choose to view the tutorial or to skip it. When you're ready to continue, press Next.

  9. The Fingerprint Enrollment screen will be displayed (see Figure 3.15). Select a finger to enroll.

  11. Once you have chosen a finger for enrollment you will be prompted to swipe your finger (see Figure 3.16).

  12. The second step of the wizard is to set up the Master password (see Figure 3.17). Once you have entered and confirmed the Master password, press Next to continue. The wizard will now communicate with the TPM (see Figure 3.18) and set the Master password. A dialog box will pop up when the Master password has been set (see Figure 3.19).

  14. At this point you may choose to configure Document Manager and Private Information Manager (see Figure 3.20) or you can choose to do this later.

  16. At the end of the Embassy Security Setup Wizard you will have the option to Review Security Settings (see Figure 3.21). When you are done, click Finish to exit out of the Setup Wizard.

Note: If the setup was cancelled or closed without finishing, users may access the EMBASSY Security Setup Wizard through Start > All Programs > Security by Wave Systems> Security Setup Wizard.
