3.3 Enabling Secure Windows Login

Secure Windows Login allows users to use fingerprint authentication and to leverage security aspects of the TPM during the Windows login process. Plus, for environments using Wave's Enterprise Authentication Server, smart cards and the TPM can be used for additional security.

The Administrator Settings section (see Figure 3.28) shows the administrator privileges for the account you are logged in as. You may be either a local administrator or a limited user (no administrator privileges). Only a local administrator can enable Secure Windows Login, because Secure Login applies to all users on the computer. A limited user can only view the settings.
