3.4.2 Steps to Enroll/Update Users Fingerprint
- Start the EMBASSY Security Center and select Windows Login.
- Select the radio button next to Fingerprints and select the Enroll/Update button (as shown in Figure 3.32).

Note: Only a Local Administrator will have access to User Enrollment. If you have no Administrative privileges you will only be able to view which fingerprints are currently enrolled. See the screen shown in Figure 3.33 and Figure 3.34.

- Selecting the Enroll/Update Fingerprint launches a simple wizard that guides users through registering or updating fingerprints for use during authentication (see Figure 3.35). Users must have a valid fingerprint authentication device properly installed and configured. (See listing of AuthenTec Sensor Integrated Products).

- Press the Select button; this will display the window shown in Figure 3.36.
- Press the Advanced button; this will display the window shown in Figure 3.37.

- Select the userid of the user whose prints you want to enroll, and press OK. This will update the Select User or Group window as shown in Figure 3.38.

- Press OK; this will update the UserName and Domain fields as shown in Figure 3.39. Press Next. This will open the Enrollment Hints Window as shown in Figure 3.40.

- Various windows will be shown giving the user a brief tutorial on the enrollment process and how to swipe your finger for a good read. Follow the instructions. When you are ready, proceed to Figure 3.41.

- Select the finger that the user will be using for authentication to the computer. Once the finger is selected, the system opens a window (Figure 3.42) which prompts the user to swipe their finger. The fingerprint is enrolled once three good samples of the fingerprint have been collected (Figure 3.43).

- If you wish to enroll another finger for this user, you may do so now. Select the finger you wish to enroll and follow the enrollment process (steps 8-9) again.
- When you are done enrolling fingers for this user, click Finish. You will see the message shown in Figure 3.44, indicating the user has been successfully enrolled.

You may enroll fingerprint credentials for additional users by following steps 1-11 again and choosing a different user in step 6.
To modify and/or update fingerprint credentials, follow the same process. Now the user is ready to log into the local computer using his fingerprints.
Note: To delete an already enrolled fingerprint, click the fingerprint that you want removed. A screen will appear that says: "Do you want to delete this fingerprint? " Click Yes.
