Unable to use Biometric Authentication with a Remote Computer

Problem:

Biometric authorization does not work when making a connection to a remote computer that has Secure Windows Login enabled. Swiping the user's finger at the local computer produces no effect at the remote computer.

Solution:

A solution is to log in with the user's password when connecting to a computer remotely.

If the remote computer has the Authentication Types set to Password And Biometric or to Biometric Only, someone local to the remote computer with local administrator rights will need to access the machine, and change the Authentication Type to Password Or Biometric or to Password Only.
