Security Features

The advanced security featured in your Dell PC provide options to allow each user to customize security, according to individual needs.

You will learn about the following security features. Click on the links below for more details on :

Security Chip — Also known as the Trusted Platform Module (TPM). It is included on the motherboard of your PC. The Security Chip generates and stores encryption keys that can be used to protect your data.

Preboot Security — Also known as Preboot Authentication. You may choose to enable Preboot Security to protect your PC as it is booting up, before the Windows Operating System loads.

Fingerprint Reader — The Fingerprint Reader allows you to configure your system to use your fingerprint in place of the various security passwords you may choose to enable (optional component).

Some versions of the EMBASSY Trust Suite do not have all the applications and functions described here.
You can upgrade to the full version from www.wave.com.
