9.1 Installing TPM Drivers

For the purpose of this document, you will be installing the "STMicroelectronics TPM Software Package". To install this software go to the location where the manufacturer typically stores its drivers, for example, c:\dell\drivers. Then select the directory that has the TPM Drivers, then Select and open the setup program. This will start the installation wizard as seen in Figure 9.1.

Press Next to start the installation process. This will take you to the "License Agreement" Screen as shown in Figure 9.2.

Note: If you are unable to locate the TPM Drivers in your computer or on the CD's included, you may go to the computer's website and download the necessary drivers that way. For example, if you have a Dell computer, go to http://support.dell.com and follow their instructions to locate the driver you are looking for.

Please review the "License Agreement" (see Figure 9.2) that comes with the software, select the "I accept the terms of the license agreement", then press Next to continue.

Accepting the license agreement will start the process of installing the drivers, see Figure 9.3.

Click the Install button, to start the installation.

See Figures 9.4, 9.5, 9.6, 9.7, and 9.8 to follow the progress of the installation.

When the installation is complete you will see the screen shown in Figure 9.9.

When prompted to restart the computer, click Yes.
