The iOS and android tablet phenomenon took the enterprise by storm, or so it seemed. Almost every Fortune 500 is showing off Tablet based programs. However, scratching beyond the surface reveals that few large scale deployments of tablets exist in regulated industries like healthcare or finance, despite end users raving feedback.

The primary reason for this dearth of deployments lies in the data security aspect of these tablets. Current MDM systems only allow encryption and password complexity controls. No solution allows for granular control of data, of the type possible in Windows 7 laptops.
