Ingram Micro (NYSE:IM [2]) is expanding its security portfolio by adding Wave Systems' software for managing hardware-based data protection and authentication.

Ingram Micro said Wednesday that it started distributing Wave's EMBASSY security software this month to channel partners. The VARs include system integrators that sell hardware platforms using data encryption and authentication based on the trusted platform module (TPM) specification supported by Wave.
