Wave Executive VP to Speak on Trends in Application and Content Security at Network World IT Roadmap Conference November 30th
Wave will demonstrate its EMBASSY software at the show
San Francisco, CA & Lee, MA – November 30, 2006 – Wave Systems Corp. (NASDAQ: WAVX) announced today that Brian Berger, executive vice president of sales and marketing, will be presenting at 10:00 a.m. today at the Network World IT Roadmap Conference & Expo at the Moscone Center West, San Francisco, CA. In his presentation, “Application and Network Security,” Berger will address strategies and best practices for enabling effective security in today's world and how security architectures are increasingly moving “up the stack,” focusing on content, applications and data.
Wave representatives will also be on hand at the Trusted Computing Group booth (#306) to demonstrate the advanced functionality of the company's EMBASSY® Trust Suite (ETS) software which, when combined with an industry standard security chip called a Trusted Platform Module (TPM), enables organizations to protect data and personal information, manage passwords and perform strong pre-boot authentication.
Wave will also demonstrate its line of server-based products, including EMBASSY Network Access Control that builds upon ETS and empowers users to leverage existing network infrastructure and open industry standards for IT control over PC client access to the network—locking down the network from unauthorized access to thwart many common and damaging network attacks. Other demonstrations will include use of EMBASSY Key Management Server and EMBASSY Authentication Server which provide network policy management, key management and strong authentication using biometrics, smart cards and TPMs.
A representative of the company will also demonstrate Wave's Trusted Drive Manager which, together with Seagate's DriveTrust technology, enables users to maximize and manage full disc encryption security on Seagate's Momentus 5400 full disc encryption hard drives for laptop computers. Full disc encryption offers strong, hardware-based protection for notebook PCs, preventing unauthorized access to data.
